Main Features:

• Includes a weatherproof and insulating asphalt roof for protection from the sun and rain.
• This coops timber is treated with weatherproofing lacquer.
• Designed for anyone to put together. Only a screwdriver is needed. See the "more information" tab for more information on assembly.
• Metal arm allows you to close the internal door to the enclosed section from the outside. This is convenient if you want to keep the chickens away for cleaning or to isolate them so they can be easily caught.
• The enclosed section has a pull-out tray for easy cleaning.

• Much larger than 99% of coops of similar design. Compare the dimensions of this coop carefully with others - 275 W x 90.5 D x 128 cm H.
• Extra Tall at 128 cm H so an adult can crouch inside and clean without being uncomfortable.
• We had the space under the Enclosed / Sleeping area raised to 43.5 cm high so that this space could be used comfortably by the chooks. Many similar models have this space too low, rendering that space unusable for the chooks.

Questions & Answers:

Q. Has the timber used for the coop been treated as we have white ants in our area?

A. Yes, the timber has been dried and treated, so it will resist termites and insects (from the manufacturer)

Q. How many chooks is the coop suited to?

A. This is up to personal opinion somewhat so be sure to decide for yourself, but I would say you could fit about 6 to 7 chickens comfortably. Also if they are going to be let out regularly into the backyard then you could fit in more chooks, maybe up to 10 or 13 free-range chickens.

Q. Can this coop be assembled with the door on the back side instead?

A. No, since the coop is higher at the front and slopes down toward the back. Therefore the front and back panels are different heights and cannot be interchanged to allow this to happen.

Main Features:

• The enclosed area has a durable metal tray that pulls out from the front.
• Metal handle allows you to close the entry to the sleeping area without entering the coop.
• Durable asphalt-style material covers the whole roof for protection from the elements and durability.
• Nest Box lid does not have a hinge and is removable. The sleeping area has 2 removable perches, and nest box has one removable divider.
• This coop comes completely pre-fabricated with assembly instructions. No drilling or cutting (or anything requiring technical skill ) is required. All you need is a screw-driver to put the pieces together. However please note that the assembly of this coop will require a second person to hold parts together while the other uses the screwdriver.
• Even though all our outdoor timber enclosures (hutches/ coops etc) are weatherproof, in the long-term it is still recommended that a yearly coat of animal-friendly wood protection coating be applied to preserve the enclosure in its original condition.
