You’ll find your Worm Cafe worm farms as easy to use in every way - a hinged lid helps you open and fill your worm farm while a sloping base on the collector tray assists the worm tea to drain easily from the drip-free tap. The entire unit has been designed to prevent brown tea from running down the worm farm legs to stain your floor or tiles.

Three working trays, all of which are side ventilated, maximise the Worm Café’s environmental stability and keep air flowing without allowing rain to fill the farm and drown your worms. Cross ventilation also helps to prevent worm tea from turning anaerobic.

The Worm Cafe has been designed with mounds on collector trays and a fly-proof lid to encourage worms to continuously move up through the trays in search of fresh organic waste. Modern legs with ant caps and a fly-proof lid help prevent ants from climbing and insects from getting into your Worm Cafe.

Q. How will the earthworms be delivered with the worm farm? Will the worms be put in the farm or some other container before the delivery?

A. The worms come in their own pre-packaged container which the worms will remain in during transit. These containers are often placed inside a worm farm for convenient and safer shipping but are not poured out but remain in their own pre-packaged container. Sometimes the worm containers are packaged separately from the worm farm.

Q. I was looking at getting this product to use indoors, but the space I have to put it is only 55cm high. Can you use this worm farm without the legs attached, and if so - how high is it without the legs attached?

A.  I got this answer from the manufacturer "The length of the legs is roughly 36cm and the full complete unit including legs is roughly 75cm. It’s ideal to have the legs attached purely for the convenience of using the tap when the customer would need to release the worm wee into a bucket. Otherwise, they will be having to constantly pick up the unit and move it to let the worm wee drain out of the collector tray. The Worm Café is recommended to be placed in a shady area, so if they have the option to leave it undercover for example under a patio or under a shady spot in the yard is ideal"
