Richgro Bug Killa is a systemic insecticide that is taken up by the plant's roots to control pests. It also contains Iron and Zeolite which are beneficial to plant health, helping your ornamental plants grow taller and stronger, and making fertilisers more efficient.

Q. Is Richgro Bug Killa Granules effective against borers in Pencil Conifers?

A. I got this reply from the manufacturer Richgro below.

"The Bug Killa product can be effective against borers, but it depends upon the size of the tree. If the tree is over, say, 3 metres tall, it would take so long for the product to get into the system of the tree that the results would be limited. If it is only a small tree then yes it would certainly be worth a go. But with larger trees, I understand they have to be injected with a chemical rather than using a product like Bug Killa. Bug Killa is more for plants like roses or small hedges and plants up to about 1 – 2 metres, larger than that and it will not be as effective."
