Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. How much does this bale weigh?
A. We weighed one bale which was a little over 10 kilograms.
Q. If I tied these bales with string like a normal bale, would they stay in shape for months outside like a normal bale would, as i want to do straw bale gardening where I grow veggies on the top of the bales?
A. I just opened a bale up and it kept its form perfectly. However, it still seemed much more fragile then a typical straw bale as it is more composted and fine and seemed to crumble a little when it was knocked around. Nevertheless, if treated carefully im fairly confident it would maintain its shape when used in the garden. Tying with string could also help make it more durable as long as its done carefully and gently.
