Apply Confidor using a watering can or a hand sprayer and water in thoroughly. Do not mow the treated lawn for three days.
Curl grubs and billbugs cause extensive damage to lawns by feeding on grass roots and stems. Affected grass turns yellow, then brown and dies, and can be lifted up like a carpet. For curl grubs, the optimum application time is peak egg hatch, which occurs between mid-spring and mid-summer.
For billbug larvae, the optimum application time is at the peak of adult bug activity or when small (4mm) larvae are found in the thatch or surface soil.
This occurs between late spring and early summer.
