Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. Just wondering how green your hay is as its hard to tell from the picture. Recently the place I have been getting hay from has started selling very brown hay and my rabbits won't eat it.
A. I have now added a second photo (see above) that shows the colour of the oaten hay better. Our oaten hay is usually quite green and I don't recall anyone ever complaining about it not being so. Our supplier is sensitive to the fact that we supply oaten hay mostly for rabbits and so it needs to be greener then the typical oaten hay fed to horses.

Questions & Answers:
Q. How long can Oaten Hay be stored for before it goes bad?
A. To increase the shelf life of oaten hay its best to keep it in a cool dry place. Keeping it dry and moisture-free is especially important as even a little moisture can eventually lead to decay & mould growth on the hay.
Some general tips to help keep Oaten hay dry: Keep it away from direct sunlight. Keep away from direct contact with the floor, grass etc. Remove the hay from any plastic wrapping or at least make ventilation holes to prevent sweating. Place hay on some timber or other dry mat. Replace or sweep the mat regularly to help prevent the build-up of moisture.
Ideally, its recommended to use the oaten hay as soon as possible and within a month or so. However oaten hay can be kept for months even up to 4 months or more in ideal conditions. It's best to check the hay regularly for any signs of decay or moulding, especially when storing oaten hay for longer periods.
I have an extremely fussy bunny but he absolutely loves this hay. It's as green as in the picture and very fresh and i've paid more than quadruple from other supplies for such a good product.
It's green more than In picture FRESH and good quality. It's great if you have one rabbit you can order small amount mixed with another Hays.
