Organic Layer Gluten & Soy Free Mash 20 kg (Wheat Free) (Certified to AS600 by Australian Certified Organic 10607.

This feed has been developed to cater for our wheat sensitive customers, who are telling us they wish eliminate all exposure to wheat. This feed eliminates the concern of exposure to wheat during the handling of your chicken feeds. This gluten and soy free ration is available for backyard layers in a mash.

The product specifications for this mash are the same as our Soy Free Layer Mash below (but of course minus the wheat content).

Country Heritage Feeds has developed a layer feed specifically for chickens whose owners may be affected by, or who wish to avoid, the use of soy. The CHF Organic Backyard Soy Free Layer Mash has been formulated to similar specifications as the standard Backyard Layer Mash, but without the inclusion of any organic soybean meal or soybean oil.

Application: Utilising other organic protein meals such as sunflower meal, safflower meal, linseed meal, meat meal and fishmeal; the CHF Organic Backyard Soy Free Layer Mash offers a 15% protein ration with essential vitamins and minerals to ensure consistency in laying and to provide well-formed, strong-shelled eggs with vibrant yolks.

Feed Directions: CHF Organic Backyard Soy Free Layer Mash is formulated for laying birds. (Approx. 18 – 20 weeks). It is advisable to blend layer feed with CHF Organic Chicken Starter Grower feed from 16 weeks to assist with the transition onto the layer feed.

Typical feed consumption for a backyard laying hen fed on the CHF Organic Backyard Soy Free Layer Mash is between 130g – 150g per head per day. Feed is best provided ad lib as the birds naturally regulate their consumption according to their energy requirements. A specially designed self-feeder is the most suitable method of doing this. To obtain minimal wastage, ensure that the feeder is elevated so the birds can comfortably access the feed, but high enough so they cannot scratch it out onto the ground with their feet. Always ensure that birds have access to clean potable drinking water.

Q. Is the animal and fish meal you use from free-range or wild animals?  As i am concerned with where my food comes from and how the animals are raised. 

A. From the manufacturer: We get our fish meal from wild catch tuna and rendered meat meal. The Backyard Vegetarian mash and pellets have no fish or meat meals.

Q. Are there any GMO ingredients used for this feed?

A. No, none of the CHF Range have any GMO ingredients.

Q. Have you got any comprehensive ingredient lists for your soy-free poultry feed formulas?

A. Unfortunately, complete ingredient lists are not available for any of the organic feeds by Country Heritage Feeds. These recipes are a closely guarded secret of the manufacturer. This helps prevent others from copying their great feeds.
