Oaten hay is vet recommended as a great high fibre supplement for all rabbits, that helps maintain rabbit digestive health. Oaten Hay should be given in addition to nutrient dense foods like rabbit mix and pellets.

Hay in general is an important part of a rabbits diet and should ideally make up about 70% of their food intake.

Bag Size (cm): About 1/10th of a full bale. Bag Weight: 2kg.

Note: These bags are individually weighed so will most likely be closer to the advertised weight. Our other oaten hay items are not weighed and vary significantly from item to item.

Disclaimer:

There are no refunds if you are not happy with oaten hay quality. Everyone's definition of what is acceptable oaten hay is different and some rabbits are very fussy and we can't be held hostage to these subjective opinions. This includes if you find some mould in your bale. Yes, oaten hay often has some amount of mould due to only being harvested once a year and being left farm paddocks for long periods. 99% of the time it goes unnoticed and the rabbits are fine. We do our best to source the greenest hay and 90% of the time its great but every batch varies and we can't guarantee it will always be to everyone's liking.

This is the most cost friendly oaten hay available in Sydney I've encountered so far. Service is effective and usually next day delivery. While it varies by batch, my recent orders have been very high quality and lush green compared to the other brands that are usually yellow. It really is as green as it is in the photo.

My rabbit really likes this hay. It is made up of nice long strands. Because it is not compressed, I find it easy to divide up into daily portions.
