Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. What garden coverage does this mulch provide?
A. This mulch covers 1 square metre per block.
Q. Can I use this mulch around my roses and natives?
A. The label of this product does not specify, but since coir is often included in native mixes (eg martins native planting mix) i cant see a problem with using this mulch for roses and natives.
Q. Would this mulch block be suitable as a reptile substrate as I'm worried about the warning "may contain live organisms and bacteria"
A. After calling the manufacturer, they told me that they didn't know if this mulch was suitable for reptiles. However, they did say the coir bark was free from any added chemicals which is a plus. Therefore we are still unsure if this mulch is suitable for reptiles and we need to research this further before making any further suggestions.
