BREEDER’S CHOICE pine woodshavings are a natural product for use as a bedding litter for all types of animals. Our shavings come only from kiln dried pine and hence have a very high absorbency rate.
BREEDER’S CHOICE pine woodshavings are a high-grade product that has been specially screened to remove harmful dusts and reduce the incidence of reactive airway disease in animals.
Baled woodshavings are particularly suitable for use in stables, poultry nests and sheds, calf sheds and other similar types of animal enclosures.
Our woodshavings are sourced from kiln dried radiata pine woodshavings that are untreated and non-toxic. There are no chemicals used in the production or packaging of our woodshavings. The woodshavings are a natural product, are free from any pests and foreign products and are free from chemical contaminants of any type. Our woodshavings also go through a screening process to remove the majority of fine dusts and the smaller flakes.

A. According to the product description this product is made from untreated pine timber. I also called manufacturer themselves and they confirmed that their wood shavings were made from untreated pine timber and they see no problem with using this product in the compost.
