It is important to keep a constant source of food in the hermit crab enclosure as hermit crabs will generally feed at night. It is best to place a small amount of food in a bowl within the enclosure and replace it as required. Flakes and other dry foods may be left in the enclosure in small quantities until they are eaten. However if food becomes wet, it should be removed to ensure it does not rot or foul enclosure.
