Triple C is a broad-spectrum antibiotic powder for use in ornamental birds for bacterial infections including E.coli (Enteritis), Mycoplasma (Chronic Respiratory Disease) and Chlamydia (Psittacosis).Triple C may be added to the drinking water or the food of birds.

Triple C Antibiotic is an ideal “first line” antibiotic where a definite diagnosis is not available. If the birds fail to respond to the treatment within 3 days veterinary advice should be obtained.

Notes: Triple C Antibiotic Powder will be affected by the presence of calcium in the diet.

During treatment remove all sources of Calcium including supplements, shell grit and cuttlefish bone. At the completion of the treatment the birds should have their gut flora re-established using Probotic See below.

Directions: Not to be used for birds intended for human consumption.

Parrots – 5.0 g/L in clean water.

Finch and Pigeon – 2.5 g/L in clean water.

All ornamental Birds – 5.0 g/Kg in dry food.

All ornamental Birds – 10 g/Kg in hand rearing food.

Administration: Remove all sources of unmedicated water and prepare fresh solutions daily. Remove sources of grit and calcium for the duration of treatment. Supply medicated water for 5-7 days (Psittacosis 45 days) in the glass, glazed or plastic containers.

Ingredients: Chlortetracycline Hydrochloride 100mg/g.

Q. Can this product be used for poultry?

A. According to the label it should only be used for non-food producing birds and not for poultry. This product is still popular with some poultry breeders and enthusiasts who usually wait a few weeks after application before consuming their chicken's eggs. However, for legal reasons, this is not something we can recommend as this product is not registered or been deemed safe for food-producing birds but for ornamental birds only.
